Sāma–Bheda–Daṇḍa
युधिष्टिरो राजपुत्रो महात्मा न्यायागतं राज्यमिदं च तस्य । स कौरवस्यास्य कुलस्य भर्ता प्रशासिता चैव महानुभाव:,“महात्मा युधिष्ठिर राजाके पुत्र हैं, अतः न्यायतः प्राप्त हुए इस राज्यपर उन्हींका अधिकार है। वे ही इस कौरवकुलका भरण-पोषण करनेवाले, स्वामी तथा इस राज्यके शासक हैं। उनका प्रभाव महान् है
yudhiṣṭhiro rājaputro mahātmā nyāyāgataṁ rājyam idaṁ ca tasya | sa kauravasyāsya kulasya bhartā praśāsitā caiva mahānubhāvaḥ ||
Vāyu disse: “Yudhiṣṭhira, o príncipe de grande alma, é o herdeiro legítimo; pela justiça, este reino lhe pertence. Ele é o sustentáculo e guardião desta linhagem dos Kuru e, de fato, seu governante e administrador — homem de grande poder e dignidade.”
वायुदेव उवाच
Legitimate sovereignty is grounded in nyāya (justice) and dharma: the rightful heir should rule, not merely by power, but as the sustainer and protector of the lineage and realm.
Vāyu declares Yudhiṣṭhira’s rightful claim to the kingdom and portrays him as the proper guardian and administrator of the Kuru line, reinforcing his moral and legal authority amid the succession conflict.
