Krishna’s appraisal of Pandava advantage and war portents
इष्टं च बहुभिय्यज्ञै: सह सूतैर्मयासकृत् । आवाहाश्न विवाहाश्नव सह सूतैर्मया कृता:,वहाँ मैंने सूतोंके साथ मिलकर बहुत-से यज्ञोंका अनुष्ठान किया है तथा उन्हींके साथ रहकर अनेकानेक कुलधर्म एवं वैवाहिक कार्य सम्पन्न किये हैं
iṣṭaṃ ca bahubhir yajñaiḥ saha sūtair mayā sakṛt | āvāhāś ca vivāhāś ca saha sūtair mayā kṛtāḥ |
Karna disse: “Muitos sacrifícios foram por mim realizados repetidas vezes na companhia dos sūtas; e, vivendo entre eles, também cumpri numerosos ritos dos costumes familiares, incluindo cerimônias de noivado e de casamento. Assim, minha vida ficou entrelaçada à deles, tanto no dever religioso quanto na conduta social.”
