Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 13: Śacī’s Delay, Deva-Counsel, and Indra’s Purification
ततः सर्वे सुरगणा: सोपाध्याया: सहर्षिभि: | यत्र शक्रो भयोद्विग्नस्तं देशमुपचक्रमु:,भगवान् विष्णुकी यह शुभ, सत्य तथा अमृतके समान मधुर वाणी सुनकर गुरु तथा महर्षियोंसहित सब देवता उस स्थानपर गये, जहाँ भयसे व्याकुल हुए इन्द्र छिपकर रहते थे
tataḥ sarve suragaṇāḥ sopādhyāyāḥ saharṣibhiḥ | yatra śakro bhayodvignaḥ taṃ deśam upacakramuḥ ||
Então todas as hostes dos deuses—juntamente com seus preceptores e acompanhadas pelos rishis—partiram para aquele mesmo lugar onde Śakra (Indra), abalado pelo medo, permanecia oculto.
नहुष उवाच
Even powerful leaders can be overcome by fear; in such moments, the ethical response is to seek guidance from teachers and sages and to act in an orderly, collective manner rather than in isolation.
Nahusha describes how the assembled gods, accompanied by their preceptors and the ṛṣis, proceed to the location where Indra (Śakra), distressed by fear, has been staying hidden.
