न त्वयं निन्दितं कर्म कुर्यात् पापं कथंचन
na tvayaṁ ninditaṁ karma kuryāt pāpaṁ kathaṁcana
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Nunca, em circunstância alguma, deves praticar um ato condenável—nenhum pecado, de modo algum.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse gives a clear ethical injunction: one must not perform actions that are socially and morally censured (nindita), and must avoid sinful conduct (pāpa) entirely, regardless of circumstances.
Vaiśaṃpāyana, as the narrator, reports a moment of moral instruction within the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war counsel, emphasizing restraint and adherence to dharma as tensions move toward conflict.
