Duryodhana’s Reply in the Kuru Assembly

यावन्न शातयत्याजी शिरांसि गजयोधिनाम्‌ | गदया वीरघातिन्या फलानीव वनस्पते:

Transliteration

yāvan na śātayaty ājau śirāṃsi gajayodhinām | gadayā vīraghātinyā phalānīva vanaspateḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: “Enquanto, no campo de batalha, ele ainda não despedaçou com a sua maça—mortífera para os heróis—as cabeças dos guerreiros montados em elefantes, como frutos que caem de uma árvore.”
