Etymology of Wealth and the Gurudakṣiṇā Predicament of Gālava
सा तौ तदाब्रवीत् तुष्टा पतगेन्द्रद्धिजर्षभौ । न भेतव्यं सुपर्णोडसि सुपर्ण त्यज सम्भ्रमम्
sā tau tadābravīt tuṣṭā patagendradvijarṣabhau | na bhetavyaṃ suparṇo’si suparṇa tyaja sambhramam ||
Satisfeita no íntimo, a asceta dirigiu-se então aos dois—Garuda, senhor das aves, e o mais eminente dos brâmanes (Galava): “Não temas. Tu és Suparna; ó Suparna, lança fora a tua agitação e abandona o sobressalto.”
नारद उवाच
Maintain steadiness and self-command in crisis: fear and agitation cloud judgment, while composure enables dharmic action.
An ascetic woman, pleased by what has occurred, reassures Garuda and the Brahmin Galava, telling Garuda not to fear and to abandon his agitation.
