वव्रे धनं महर्षि: स जैमूतं तद् धनं ततः । उस सम्पूर्ण विशाल धनराशिको उन्होंने ब्राह्मणोंमें बाँ.कठर उसका सदुपयोग किया और ब्राह्मणोंसे यह वर माँगा कि यह धन मेरे नामसे प्रसिद्ध हो। इस कारण वह धन 'जैमूत' नामसे प्रसिद्ध हुआ
yuparṇa uvāca | vavre dhanaṁ maharṣiḥ sa jaimūtaṁ tad dhanaṁ tataḥ |
Yuparṇa disse: “Aquele grande sábio pediu riqueza; e, desde então, essa riqueza passou a ser conhecida como ‘Jaimūta’.” Na tradição narrativa, entende-se que o sábio recebeu uma soma imensa, distribuiu-a por completo entre os Brāhmaṇas com disciplina e propósito, e então lhes pediu uma dádiva: que essa riqueza se tornasse célebre pelo seu próprio nome. Por isso foi celebrada como ‘Jaimūta’.
