त्रिलोककिक्रमे ब्रह्मन्नुत्तरां दिशमाश्रितम् । अत्र राज्ञा मरुत्तेन यज्ञेनेष्ट द्विजोत्तम
trilokakikrame brahmann uttarāṁ diśam āśritam | atra rājñā maruttena yajñeneṣṭa dvijottama
Yuparṇa disse: “Ó brâmane, esta região situa-se para o quadrante do norte, célebre como lugar que ‘abrange os três mundos’. Aqui, ó melhor entre os duas-vezes-nascidos, o rei Marutta outrora realizou um grande sacrifício.”
