Nahuṣa Abhiṣeka and the Crisis of Restraint (नहुषाभिषेकः—दमभ्रंशः)
परस्परभयं घोरमस्माकं हि न संशय: । अभिषिच्यस्व राजेन्द्र भव राजा त्रिविष्टपे
parasparabhayaṁ ghoraṁ asmākaṁ hi na saṁśayaḥ | abhiṣicyasva rājendra bhava rājā trivīṣṭape ||
Śalya disse: “Entre nós há um terrível medo mútuo—disso não há dúvida. Portanto, ó melhor dos reis, faze-te consagrar e torna-te o governante em Triviṣṭapa (o céu).”
शल्य उवाच
Unchecked mutual fear destabilizes a community; the remedy proposed is legitimate, ritually sanctioned leadership (abhiṣeka) to restore order and security.
Śalya reports a situation of pervasive mutual fear and urges the addressed king (rājendra) to undergo consecration and assume sovereignty in Triviṣṭapa (heaven).
