The verse grounds dharma in sacred precedent: Vedic knowledge is portrayed as divinely bestowed (by Sūrya), and ritual enjoyment (Soma) is legitimate when taken within properly conducted sacrifices. It reinforces reverence for revelation and correct ritual order.
The speaker points out a particular direction/place and praises it by recalling two sanctifying associations: the Sun’s bestowal of Yajus-mantras and the gods’ drinking of boon-granted Soma during sacrificial rites, thereby marking the locale as ritually and spiritually significant.
