हन्त यत् ते प्रवक्ष्यामि तच्छुणुष्व समाहित: । ऋषीणां देवतानां च सम्भवं वसुधातले
hanta yat te pravakṣyāmi tac chṛṇuṣva samāhitaḥ | ṛṣīṇāṃ devatānāṃ ca sambhavaṃ vasudhātale ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Vem, então—ouve com a mente recolhida o que te direi. Relatarei, com clareza e boa vontade, a manifestação e as origens dos rishis e dos deuses sobre a face da terra.”
