Educational Q&A

Dharma-guided discernment is the key: when one reflects on dharma and artha together and uses material resources only after careful evaluation, one gains a great and reliable फल (result).

In the Śānti Parva’s instruction on righteous living, the sage Vāmadeva states a general principle: prosperity (artha) becomes fruitful when pursued and applied under the discipline of dharma and thoughtful consideration.
