Chapter 72 — Royal Duty: protection of subjects, taxation, punishment, and appointments
अथ राष्ट्रमुपायेन भुज्यमान सुरक्षितम् । जनयत्यतुलां नित्यं कोशवृद्धि युधिछ्विर
atha rāṣṭram upāyena bhujyamānaṃ surakṣitam | janayaty atulāṃ nityaṃ kośa-vṛddhiṃ yudhiṣṭhira ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Ó Yudhiṣṭhira, quando um reino é protegido com segurança e administrado por meios lícitos e prudentes, e suas receitas são arrecadadas de modo justo, ele produz continuamente um aumento incomparável do tesouro real.”
