राजवृत्त-रक्षा-प्रणिधि-षाड्गुण्योपदेशः
Royal Conduct, Protection, Intelligence, and Policy Measures
स एवमुक्तो5ड्रिससा कौसल्यो राजसत्तम: । प्रयत्नात् कृतवान् वीर: प्रजानां परिपालनम्,राजन! बृहस्पतिजीके ऐसा कहनेपर राजाओंमें श्रेष्ठ कोसलनरेश वीर वसुमना अपनी प्रजाओंका प्रयत्नपूर्वक पालन करने लगे
sa evam ukto ’drisasā kausalyo rājasattamaḥ | prayatnāt kṛtavān vīraḥ prajānāṃ paripālanam, rājan |
Assim admoestado pelo sábio, o rei de Kausalya—o melhor entre os governantes—o heróico Vasumanā, ó rei, aplicou-se com esforço deliberado à proteção e ao bom governo de seus súditos.
