मन्त्रिणो वालखिल्याश्ष सारस्वत्यो गणस्तथा । महर्षिर्भगवान् गर्गस्तस्य सांवत्सरो5भवत्,वालखिल्यगण तथा सरस्वतीतटवर्ती महर्षियोंके समुदायने उनके मन्त्रीका कार्य सँभाला। महर्षि भगवान् गर्ग उनके दरबारके ज्योतिषी हुए
mantriṇo vālakhilyāś ca sārasvatyo gaṇas tathā | maharṣir bhagavān gargas tasya sāṁvatsaro 'bhavat ||
Disse Bhishma: “Os sábios Vālakhilya, e também o grupo de sábios que habitava as margens do Sarasvatī, serviram como seus ministros. O venerável grande rishi Garga tornou-se seu sāṁvatsara—o astrólogo da corte e o calculador do ano.”
