शोकाकुल-युधिष्ठिरं प्रति कुन्त्याः कालोचितोपदेशः | Kuntī’s Timely Counsel to the Grief-Stricken Yudhiṣṭhira

भवत्या गूढमन्त्रत्वात्‌ पीडितो<स्मीत्युवाच ताम्‌

vaiśampāyana uvāca — bhavatyā gūḍha-mantratvāt pīḍito ’smīty uvāca tām |

Vaiśampāyana disse: “Afligido porque guardaste este assunto como um segredo oculto, fui levado a sofrer”, disse ele a ela. Ao ouvir isso, os olhos de Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira encheram-se de lágrimas; a dor agitou seus sentidos, e aquele rei justo disse à sua mãe: “Mãe, ao ocultares esta verdade confidencial, causaste-me grande sofrimento.”
