श्र इदानीं स्वसन्देहं प्रक्ष्यामि त्वां पितामह । उपैति सविता हास्तं रसमापीय पार्थिवम्
idānīṁ svasandehaṁ prakṣyāmi tvāṁ pitāmaha | upaiti savitā hāstaṁ rasam āpīya pārthivam ||
“Agora, ó Avô venerável, perguntarei sobre a minha própria dúvida. O Sol, tendo bebido a umidade da terra, aproxima-se da montanha do ocidente”—sinal do fim do dia, que convida à reflexão sobre a ordem do tempo e do dever.
