Educational Q&A

The verse highlights steadfast adherence to dharma through daily disciplines—purification by bathing, reverent posture, and the confidential japa of Gāyatrī—showing that even the highest person exemplifies regulated conduct and respect for sacred rites.

Kṛṣṇa rises, bathes, performs the ‘secret’ mantra-japa (understood as Gāyatrī), and then sits/stands near the sacred fires with folded hands, preparing for or completing his daily ritual observances.
