Bhīṣma on the Śara-Śayyā: Yudhiṣṭhira and Kṛṣṇa Approach the Eldest for Śānti
सत्ये तपसि दाने च यज्ञाधिकरणे तथा । धनुर्वेदे च वेदे च नीत्यां चैवानुरक्षणे
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
satye tapasi dāne ca yajñādhikaraṇe tathā |
dhanurvede ca vede ca nītyāṃ caivānurakṣaṇe |
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Na veracidade, na austeridade e na generosidade; na correta realização e condução do sacrifício; no domínio da ciência do arco e do Veda; e na arte de governar junto com a proteção do povo—em tudo isso não ouvi falar de outro grande guerreiro de carro igual a ti.”
