Rāma–Jāmadagnya-janma-kāraṇa and Kṣatra-kṣaya
Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
Power and capability (kṣatravīrya) are not merely personal possessions; they are bound to relationships and responsibility. The verse warns that outcomes can reverse (viparyaya), so one should not rely on expectation alone but act with prudence and dharmic foresight.
Vāyu addresses a woman respectfully as ‘bhadre’ and states that the entirety of the addressee’s martial strength has been ‘entrusted to your mother.’ He then cautions that if circumstances turn adverse or contrary, the expected result will not occur.
