यत्र देवो महाबाहु: शाश्वतः पुरुषोत्तम: । अनादिनिधनो विप्र किमाश्नर्यमत: परम्
yatra devo mahābāhuḥ śāśvataḥ puruṣottamaḥ | anādinidhano vipra kim āścaryam ataḥ param ||
Disse o Nāga: “Ó brāhmaṇa, que maravilha poderia ser maior do que esta: que no fulgor extraordinário do Sol habite o eterno Puruṣottama, de braços poderosos, sem começo e sem fim? Dele surgem as múltiplas sementes da vida, e por seu amparo esta terra inteira, com tudo o que se move e o que não se move, é sustentada. Se o próprio Nārāyaṇa resplandece no orbe do Sol, que poderia superar isso em maravilha?”
