न ह्स्त्यविदितं लोके देवर्षे तव किंचन । श्रुतं वाप्यनुभूतं वा दृष्ट वा कथयस्व मे
na hy asty aviditaṁ loke devarṣe tava kiṁcana | śrutaṁ vāpy anubhūtaṁ vā dṛṣṭaṁ vā kathayasva me ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Ó vidente divino, nada há neste mundo que te seja desconhecido. Se ouviste algum assunto maravilhoso, ou o vivenciaste pessoalmente, ou o viste com teus próprios olhos—conta-me.”
