Sacred knowledge (the Vedas) is not an object to be possessed through violence or pride; when approached with adharma, it eludes grasp, underscoring that dharma and inner fitness—not brute force—govern access to higher truth.
Madhu and Kaiṭabha search for the Vedas by following their perceived sound, but find nothing; they return to the spot where the Vedas were cast down and discover it empty, indicating the Vedas have been removed or concealed beyond their reach.
