Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank
ददृशाते5रविन्दस्थ॑ ब्रह्माणममितप्रभम् । सृजन्तं प्रथम वेदां श्वतुरश्चारुविग्रहान्
dadṛśāte 'ravindasthe brahmāṇam amitaprabham | sṛjantaṃ prathamaṃ vedān caturāṃś cāruvigrahān ||
Então avistaram Brahmā, de fulgor incomensurável, sentado num assento de lótus e empenhado na obra da criação; e, junto dele, viram também os quatro Vedas, assumindo belas formas corporificadas. A cena sublinha a visão ética do Mahābhārata: a ordem cósmica e o dharma se alicerçam no saber sagrado (Veda) e na ação deliberada do Criador, não no acaso.
वैशग्पायन उवाच
Dharma and cosmic order are portrayed as rooted in Brahmā’s creative governance and in the Vedas as living, authoritative knowledge—suggesting that right conduct is aligned with revealed wisdom and the structure of creation.
The observers (as indicated by “they saw”) witness Brahmā seated on a lotus, actively engaged in creation, and they also see the four Vedas nearby, depicted as taking on beautiful forms.
