Atithi-prāpti and the Brāhmaṇa’s Deliberation on Triadic Dharma (अतिथिप्राप्तिः धर्मत्रयविचारश्च)
वेददृष्टेन विधिना वैष्णवं क्रतुमाहरन् | तस्मिन् सत्रे सदा ब्रह्मा स्वयं भागमकल्पयत्
Vedadṛṣṭena vidhinā vaiṣṇavaṁ kratum āharan | tasmin satre sadā Brahmā svayaṁ bhāgam akalpayat |
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Seguindo o procedimento sancionado pelos Vedas, empreenderam um rito sacrificial vaiṣṇava. Nessa sessão de sacrifício, o próprio Brahmā destinou devidamente uma porção das oblações ao Senhor.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes dharma as adherence to Veda-sanctioned procedure and the principle that even the highest beings honor rightful allotment in sacrifice—devotion is expressed through orderly, scripturally grounded action.
After hearing the Lord’s words (as implied by the surrounding context), the assembled beings undertake a Vaiṣṇava sacrifice according to Vedic injunctions, and Brahmā personally assigns the Lord’s sacrificial share within that satra.
