अध्याय ३३७ — ज्ञानमार्ग-वैविध्यप्रश्नः तथा व्यासस्य नारायणोद्भवकथा

स्वयं भागमुपाप्राय पुरोडाशं गृहीतवान् | अदृश्येन हृतो भागो देवेन हरिमेधसा,भगवान् हयग्रीवने स्वयं अदृश्य रहकर ही अपने लिये अर्पित पुरोडाशको ग्रहण किया और उसे सूँघकर अपने अधीन कर लिया
svayaṁ bhāgam upāprāya puroḍāśaṁ gṛhītavān | adṛśyena hṛto bhāgo devena harimedhasā ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Tendo vindo ele mesmo reclamar sua parte de direito, tomou o bolo sacrificial (puroḍāśa). Essa porção destinada foi levada invisivelmente por um ser divino de inteligência aguda, semelhante a Hari; permanecendo oculto, aceitou o que lhe fora oferecido e, apenas ao cheirá-lo, trouxe-o sob seu domínio.”
