तेषां नारायणनरौ तपस्तेपतुरव्ययौ । बदर्याश्रममासाद्य शकटे कनकामये,उनमेंसे अविनाशी नारायण और नर बदरिकाश्रममें जाकर एक सुवर्णमय रथपर स्थित हो घोर तपस्या करने लगे
teṣāṃ nārāyaṇanarau tapastepaturavyayau | badaryāśramamāsādya śakaṭe kanakāmaye ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Entre eles, a dupla imperecível Nārāyaṇa e Nara alcançou o eremitério de Badarī e, sentados num carro de ouro, empreenderam austeridades severas. A passagem realça o ideal de autocontrole e disciplina espiritual como fundamento de uma retidão duradoura.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse elevates tapas—disciplined austerity and self-restraint—as a sustaining power behind dharma. Even exalted beings model inner control and spiritual effort, implying that ethical stability is grounded in practiced discipline rather than mere status or speech.
Bhīṣma describes how the imperishable duo Nārāyaṇa and Nara go to Badaryāśrama and begin intense austerities while seated on a golden chariot/cart, presenting them as paradigms of ascetic resolve and spiritual purpose.
