Nara-Nārāyaṇa–Nārada Discourse on Vision, Elements, and Entry into Vāsudeva
Human beings commonly aspire to higher states (symbolized as higher worlds) and do strive, but attainment is not guaranteed by desire and effort alone; results depend on the true adequacy of causes—especially one’s karma, discipline, and the conditions that support fruition.
Nārada is instructing by general observation: people aim upward toward superior realms and make efforts within their capacity, yet they often fail to reach the intended outcome, highlighting the gap between aspiration and actual attainment.
