Nara-Nārāyaṇa–Nārada Discourse on Vision, Elements, and Entry into Vāsudeva
अचेष्टमानमासीनं श्री: कज्चिदुपतिष्ठते । वश्चित् कर्मानुसृत्यान्यो न प्राप्पमधिगच्छति
aceṣṭamānam āsīnaṁ śrīḥ kaścid upatiṣṭhate | vaścit karmānusṛtyānyo na prāpyam adhigacchati ||
Disse Nārada: Às vezes a prosperidade (Śrī) vem e se põe ao lado de alguém que permanece sentado, inerte e sem esforço algum; enquanto outro, mesmo seguindo a via da ação e empenhando-se, não alcança o que deveria ser alcançável. O ensinamento é que os resultados mundanos nem sempre correspondem ao esforço visível; por isso, age com retidão, sem arrogância no êxito nem desespero no fracasso.
