Nārāyaṇasya Guhya-nāmāni Niruktāni (Etymologies of Nārāyaṇa’s Secret Epithets) / नारायणस्य गुह्यनामानि निरुक्तानि
ततो निबद्धः स्वां योनिं कर्मणामुदयादिह
tato nibaddhaḥ svāṃ yoniṃ karmaṇām udayād iha
Então, preso à sua própria yoni —seu modo de nascimento e condição de existência— neste mundo, o ser se ergue e se manifesta conforme emergem as ações do passado. A afirmação ressalta a causalidade ética do karma: as circunstâncias são moldadas pelos atos, e a vida encarnada se desenrola sob esse impulso que ata.
नारद उवाच
That embodied existence is ethically conditioned: the ‘arising’ of past actions (karma) binds a being to a particular yoni (mode of birth and life-situation). This frames moral responsibility across time—choices generate consequences that shape future experience.
Nārada is explaining a principle of karmic determination: as karmic results come into effect, a being becomes constrained within its own destined embodiment and life-condition, and thus experiences worldly rise and manifestation accordingly.
