अलमन्यैरुपालब्धै: कीर्तितिश्न व्यतिक्रमै: | पेशलं चानुरूपं च कर्तव्यं हितमात्मन:

Transliteration

alam anyaiḥ upālabdhaiḥ kīrtitiśna vyatikramaiḥ | peśalaṃ cānurūpaṃ ca kartavyaṃ hitam ātmanaḥ ||

Translation

Disse Bhīṣma: Não há proveito em censurar os outros nem em ficar repetindo as várias transgressões que cometem. Em vez disso, deve-se praticar a ação que seja graciosa e adequada à circunstância, e reconhecida como benéfica para si mesmo.
