देवतापितृप्रश्नः — Nārada at Badarīāśrama: the ultimate referent of daiva and pitṛ worship
तदेतत् सम्प्रदृश्यैव कर्म भूमिं प्रपश्यत: । शुभान्याचरितव्यानि परलोकमभीप्सता,इहलोक कर्मभूमि है--ऐसा समझकर इसकी ओर देखते हुए दिव्य लोकोंकी इच्छा रखनेवाले पुरुषको शुभ कर्मोंका ही आचरण करना चाहिये
tad etat sampradṛśyaiva karma-bhūmiṁ prapaśyataḥ | śubhāny ācaritavyāni paralokam abhīpsatā ||
Reconhecendo este mundo como o campo da ação (karma) e fitando-o sob essa luz, quem anseia pelos mundos além deve praticar apenas atos auspiciosos. Pois é aqui—nesta terra do karma—que se moldam as causas morais cujos frutos serão colhidos na vida seguinte.
