Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)

साहं मानप्रदानेन वागातिथ्येन चार्चिता । सुप्ता सुशरणं प्रीता श्वो गमिष्यामि मैथिल,आपने मुझे बड़ा सम्मान दिया। अपनी वाणीरूप आतिथ्यके द्वारा मेरा भलीभाँति सत्कार किया। मिथिलानरेश! अब मैं प्रसन्नतापूर्वक आपके शरीररूपी सुन्दर गृहमें सोकर कल सबेरे यहाँसे चली जाऊँगी

sāhaṃ mānapradānena vāgātithyena cārcitā | suptā suśaraṇaṃ prītā śvo gamiṣyāmi maithila ||

Bhīṣma disse: “Honrada por tua dádiva de respeito e acolhida pela hospitalidade de tuas palavras graciosas, estou satisfeita. Tendo repousado em segurança sob teu excelente abrigo, ó rei de Mithilā, partirei daqui amanhã.”
