अरिष्टानि प्रवक्ष्यामि विहितानि मनीषिभि: । संवत्सरवियोगस्य सम्भवन्ति शरीरिण:,अब मैं ज्ञानी पुरुषोंद्वारा नियत किये हुए अमंगल अथवा मृत्युको सूचित करनेवाले उन चिह्ढोंका वर्णन करता हूँ, जो देहधारीके शरीर छूटनेमें केवल एक वर्ष शेष रह जानेपर उसके सामने प्रकट होते हैं

Transliteration

ariṣṭāni pravakṣyāmi vihitāni manīṣibhiḥ | saṃvatsaraviyogasya sambhavanti śarīriṇaḥ ||

Translation

Yājñavalkya disse: “Descreverei agora os presságios funestos — sinais anunciadores da morte — reconhecidos e estabelecidos pelos sábios, que surgem diante do ser encarnado quando resta apenas um ano até a separação do corpo.”
