आवामस्यथ नरेन्द्रस्य गृहे परमपूजितौ । उषितौ समये ब्रह्मंंस्तद् विचिन्तय साम्प्रतम्,“मामा! हमलोग राजा सूंजयके घरमें बड़े आदर-सत्कारके साथ रहे हैं, अतः ब्रह्मन! इस समय इनका कुछ उपकार करनेकी बात सोचिये'
āvām asyatha narendrasya gṛhe paramapūjitau | uṣitau samaye brahman tad vicintaya sāmpratam ||
Nārada disse: “Permanecemos na casa deste rei, honrados com o mais alto respeito e hospitalidade. Portanto, ó brâmane, considera agora que benefício poderemos prestar-lhe em retribuição.”
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights ethical reciprocity: when one receives honor and hospitality, one should respond with gratitude and seek an appropriate way to benefit the host, especially at the right time.
Narada, speaking to another Brahmin sage, notes that they have been warmly hosted in the king’s residence and urges that they now deliberate on how to repay the king’s kindness through some helpful act or blessing.
