परमात्मानमासाद्य तद्भूतायतनामला: । अमृतत्वाय कल्पन्ते न निवर्तन्ति वा विभो
paramātmānam āsādya tadbhūtāyatanāmalāḥ | amṛtatvāya kalpante na nivartanti vā vibho ||
Bhishma disse: Tendo alcançado o Paramātman, esses iogues—agora purificados e estabelecidos Nele como seu próprio fundamento—tornam-se aptos para a imortalidade. Ó Poderoso, não retornam novamente (ao renascimento mundano).
भीष्म उवाच
Union with the Supreme Self culminates in purification and deathlessness; the liberated yogin does not return to the cycle of rebirth.
Bhishma, instructing on liberation, describes the final result of spiritual realization: the yogin attains the Paramatman, becomes identified with That, and is freed from return to worldly existence.
