अव्यक्तकालमान-निर्णयः
Measures of Time from the Unmanifest; Creation, Elements, and the Primacy of Mind
भीष्म उवाच (इत्युक्त्वा परमो देवो भगवान् नित्य अव्यय: । साथ्यर्देवगणै: सार्थ दिवमेवारुरोह सः ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | ity uktvā paramo devo bhagavān nityo 'vyayaḥ | sādhya-devagaṇaiḥ sārthaṃ divam evārurōha saḥ || etad yaśasyam āyuṣyaṃ puṇyaṃ svargāya ca dhruvam | darśitaṃ devadevena parameṇāvyayena ca || saṃvāda ity ayaṃ śreṣṭhaḥ sādhyanāṃ parikīrtitaḥ | kṣetraṃ vai karmaṇāṃ yoniḥ sadbhāvaḥ satyam ucyate ||
Bhishma disse: “Tendo assim falado, o Deus supremo—bem-aventurado, eterno e imperecível—Brahmā, juntamente com a hoste das divindades Sādhya, ascendeu ao céu. Este ensinamento santo, revelado por aquele Senhor dos deuses, o mais alto e incorruptível, aumenta a fama e prolonga a vida, e é um meio seguro para alcançar o céu. Assim, ó Yudhiṣṭhira, eu te narrei esse excelente diálogo do Haṃsa com os Sādhyas. Com efeito, o corpo é o campo e o ventre das ações, e “verdade” é o que se chama o ser genuíno (a reta disposição interior).”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse concludes a didactic dialogue by affirming that the body is the locus where karma is generated and borne, and that ‘truth’ is identified with sadbhāva—genuine being or right inner disposition. It also frames the teaching as merit-producing, fame- and life-enhancing, and a reliable means toward heaven.
Bhīṣma reports that after delivering the instruction, Brahmā—described as eternal and imperishable—departs upward to heaven along with the Sādhya deities. Bhīṣma then tells Yudhiṣṭhira that he has finished recounting the excellent Haṃsa–Sādhya dialogue and summarizes its concluding doctrinal point about body, action, and truth.
