सत्यनामा वसुमती यं प्राप्पासीज्जनाधिपम् । हिरण्यमवहन् नद्यस्तस्मिज्जनपदेश्वरे,“राजा सुहोत्रको पाकर पृथ्वीका वसुमती नाम सार्थक हो गया था। जिस समय वे जनपदके स्वामी थे, उन दिनों वहाँकी नदियाँ अपने जलके साथ-साथ सुवर्ण बहाया करती थीं
satyanāmā vasumatī yaṃ prāppāsīj janādhipam | hiraṇyam avahan nadyas tasmiñ janapadeśvare ||
Vāyu disse: “A terra tornou-se verdadeiramente digna do nome ‘Vasumatī’ (a Possuidora de riquezas) quando alcançou aquele senhor dos homens. Enquanto ele reinou como soberano daquele país, os rios de lá carregavam ouro junto com suas águas.”
