Śoka-śamana: Kṛṣṇa’s Consolation and Nārada’s Exempla to Sṛñjaya
Chapter 29
सुखदुः:खैरहं त्वं च प्रजा: सर्वाश्न संजय
sukha-duḥkhair ahaṃ tvaṃ ca prajāḥ sarvāś ca sañjaya
Vāyu disse: “Ó Sañjaya, tanto tu quanto eu—e, na verdade, todos os seres—estamos enredados no prazer e na dor.”
वायुदेव उवाच
That pleasure and pain are universal conditions shared by all beings; recognizing this supports ethical steadiness and equanimity rather than partiality or despair.
Vāyudeva addresses Sañjaya and frames their discussion by emphasizing a general truth about embodied life: everyone, without exception, experiences the dualities of happiness and suffering.
