ऊचुः प्राउज्जलय: सर्वे कथ्यतां को भवानिति | तब ब्रह्मा आदि देवता तथा प्रजापति दक्ष--ये सब के-सब हाथ जोड़कर बोले --देवदेव! कहिये, आप कौन हैं?” || ५० है ।। वीरभद्र उवाच नाहं रुद्रो न वा देवी नैव भोक्तुमिहागत:
Vīrabhadra uvāca: Nāhaṃ rudro na vā devī naiva bhoktum ihāgataḥ.
Brahmā e todos os deuses, juntamente com Dakṣa, o Prajāpati, com as mãos postas, disseram: “Ó Deus dos deuses, dize: quem és tu?” Vīrabhadra respondeu: “Não sou Rudra nem a Deusa; tampouco vim aqui para tomar parte nas oferendas ou buscar deleites.”
