Adhyāya 283: Varṇa-vṛtti, Nyāya-ārjana, and the Decline-and-Restoration of Dharma (वर्णवृत्तिः न्यायार्जनं च)

तेन शब्देन महता त्रस्तास्तत्र दिवौकस:,उस महाभयंकर कोलाहलसे उस यज्ञमें पधारे हुए समस्त देवता व्याकुल हो उठे। पर्वत टूक-टूक होकर बिखर गये। धरती डोलने लगी, आँधी चलने लगी और समुद्रमें तूफान आ गया

tena śabdena mahatā trastās tatra divaukasaḥ

Dakṣa disse: “Atingidos por aquele som imenso, os deuses reunidos ali para o sacrifício foram tomados de pânico. O alvoroço era tão terrível que as montanhas pareciam estilhaçar-se e espalhar-se; a terra começou a tremer, ventos violentos se ergueram, e o oceano foi revolvido até tornar-se tempestade.”
