ततो भगवतस्तेजो ज्वरो भूत्वा जगत्पते:
tato bhagavatas tejo jvaro bhūtvā jagatpateḥ

भीष्म उवाच
Divine tejas is not merely abstract brilliance; it can become an active, corrective force. The verse underscores moral causality: when cosmic order is challenged, the Lord’s power may manifest in a form (here, jvara) that enforces restraint and restores balance.
Bhīṣma describes a moment when the Lord’s radiance concretizes into a being/force called Jvara—an intense, burning affliction—emerging from the Jagatpati. It marks a dramatic escalation where divine energy intervenes tangibly in events.
