Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
ऊचुर्वत्रविनाशार्थ लोकानां हितकाम्यया | तदनन्तर अंगिराके पुत्र श्रीमान् बृहस्पति तथा बड़े-बड़े महर्षियोंने जब वृत्रासुरका पराक्रम देखा, तब महादेवजीके पास आकर लोकहितकी कामनासे वृत्रासुरके विनाशके लिये उनसे निवेदन किया
ūcur vṛtra-vināśārthaṁ lokānāṁ hita-kāmyayā | tad-anantaraṁ aṅgirāke putraḥ śrīmān bṛhaspatiḥ tathā ||
Disse Bhīṣma: Buscando o bem-estar dos mundos, rogaram pela destruição de Vṛtrāsura. Em seguida, o ilustre Bṛhaspati, filho de Aṅgiras, juntamente com outros grandes rishis—tendo presenciado o formidável poder de Vṛtrāsura—aproximou-se de Mahādeva e lhe suplicou que causasse a queda de Vṛtrāsura, para o bem de todos os seres.
