Yudhiṣṭhira’s Remorse and Vyāsa’s Teaching on Impermanence (Śoka-nivāraṇa)
मैवमित्यब्रवीद् व्यासो निगृहाय मुनिसत्तम: । वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं-जनमेजय! अपने बन्धु-जनोंके शोकसे विह्बल होकर युधिष्ठिरको ऐसी बातें करते देख मुनिवर व्यासजीने उन्हें रोककर कहा--“नहीं, ऐसा नहीं हो सकता”
māivam ity abravīd vyāso nigṛhāya munisattamaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó Janamejaya! Vendo Yudhiṣṭhira, vencido pela dor por seus parentes, falar daquele modo, o sábio Vyāsa—o melhor entre os ascetas—conteve-o e disse: ‘Não; não pode ser assim.’”
