तुलाधारस्य कौन्तेय शान्तिमेवान्वपद्यत | एवं बहुमतार्थ च तुलाधारेण भाषितम्‌ | यथौपम्योपदेशेन कि भूय: श्रोतुमिच्छसि,कुन्तीनन्दन! तुलाधारने जो उपदेश दिया था, वह बहुजनसम्मत अर्थसे युक्त था। उसे सुनकर जाजलिको परम शान्ति प्राप्त हुई। उसे यथावत्‌ दृष्टान्तपूर्वक समझाया गया है। अब तुम और क्या सुनना चाहते हो?

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | tulādhārasya kaunteya śāntim evānvapadyata | evaṃ bahumatārthaṃ ca tulādhāreṇa bhāṣitam | yathaupamyopadeśena kiṃ bhūyaḥ śrotum icchasi, kuntīnandana ||

Translation

Bhīṣma disse: “Ó filho de Kuntī, (Jājali) alcançou a paz suprema ao seguir o caminho ensinado por Tulādhāra. O que Tulādhāra falou foi um ensinamento cujo sentido é aprovado por muitos. Foi explicado devidamente por meio de instrução amparada em analogias oportunas. Agora, ó filho de Kuntī, que mais desejas ouvir?”
