Ahiṃsā as the Superior Dharma: Practical and Scriptural Reasoning
एवमुक्ता महाबाहो मृत्यु: परपुरंजय । न व्याजहार तस्थौ च प्रह्मा भगवदुन्मुखी
evam uktā mahābāho mṛtyuḥ parapuraṃjaya | na vyājahāra tasthau ca brahmā bhagavad-unmukhī ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Assim interpelada, ó de braços poderosos, ó conquistador de fortalezas inimigas, a Morte não conseguiu proferir palavra. Voltando o rosto para Brahmā, permaneceu ali de mãos postas, aceitando em silêncio o seu comando.”
