सर्वेडन्त:स्था इमे लोका बाह्[मेषां न किंचन । वह परमात्मा न ऊपर है न नीचे और न वह अगल-बगलमें अथवा बीचमें ही है। कोई भी स्थानविशेष उसको ग्रहण नहीं कर सकता
sarve 'ntaḥsthā ime lokā bāhyaṃ eṣāṃ na kiṃcana | sa paramātmā na ūrdhvaṃ na adho na tiryak na madhye 'pi | na kaścid deśaviśeṣas taṃ grahītuṃ śaknoti | sa paramātmā naikasmin deśe sthitvā anyadeśaṃ gacchati | ime samastā lokāḥ tasyaiva antar eva sthitāḥ | eṣāṃ kaścid aṃśo vā pradeśo vā tasya bahiḥ na vidyate ||
Vyāsa disse: Todos estes mundos habitam no Si mesmo; nada deles existe fora d’Ele. Esse Si mesmo supremo não está “acima” nem “abaixo”, nem “ao lado”, nem sequer confinado a um “meio”. Nenhum lugar particular pode contê-lo ou apreendê-lo, e Ele não se move de um lugar para outro. A totalidade dos mundos repousa somente n’Ele; nenhuma parte ou região deles está além do Si mesmo supremo.
व्यास उवाच
The Supreme Self (Paramātmā) is all-pervading and cannot be confined by spatial categories like above/below/inside/outside; all worlds exist within Him, and nothing lies outside Him. This reframes reality from location-based thinking to an all-encompassing spiritual ground.
In Śānti Parva’s instruction on peace and liberation, Vyāsa delivers a philosophical teaching: he describes the Paramātmā as unmoving, unbounded by place, and the inner support of all realms—guiding the listener toward contemplative understanding rather than ritual or worldly measurement.
