शक्र उवाच
Prosperity (Śrī/Lakṣmī) is not random: she abides with those who faithfully perform their own duty (svadharma), remain steady in courage and composure, and take joyful interest in righteous means leading to higher good (svarga).
Śrī (Lakṣmī) addresses Indra (Śakra), explaining the kind of persons in whom she chooses to dwell—those unwavering in dharma and steadfastness, engaged in meritorious paths.
