बलीन्द्रसंवादः — Kāla, Anityatā, and the Limits of Agency

Mahābhārata 12.217

प्रकाशं भगवानेतदृषिर्नातयणो5मृतम्‌ । भूतानामनुकम्पार्थ जगाद जगतो गति:,संसारको शरण देनेवाले ऋषिश्रेष्ठ भगवान्‌ नारायणने जीवोंपर दया करनेके लिये ही इस अमृतमय ज्ञानको प्रकाशित किया

prakāśaṃ bhagavān etad ṛṣir nārāyaṇo 'mṛtam | bhūtānām anukampārthaṃ jagāda jagato gatiḥ ||

Disse Bhishma: O sábio bem-aventurado Nārāyaṇa—refúgio do mundo e guia do seu curso—tornou manifesto este ensinamento imortal, proferindo-o por compaixão por todos os seres.
