Examination of Faults and Discernment of the Guṇas

प्रज्ञया मानसं दु:खं हन्याच्छारीरमौषधै: । एतद्‌ विज्ञानसामर्थ्य न बालै: समतामियात्‌

Com a inteligência deve-se destruir a dor da mente, e com remédios, a dor do corpo. Tal é a força do conhecimento, que as crianças não podem igualar; por isso, quando a aflição sobrevém, não se deve sentar e chorar como um menino, mas afastar o sofrimento mental com discernimento e reflexão, e aliviar o sofrimento físico com medicamentos.
